Abu Dhabi Extends Art Abu Dhabi Commissioned Artworks Display in Al Ain

The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi has announced the extension of the display of commissioned artworks for Art Abu Dhabi, which is part of its two annual programs for 2025: 'Artists Commissions in Cultural Sites' and 'Artists Perspectives'. The extension, in the city of Al Ain, will now run until April 26. This extension allows the public to visit the artworks during regular working hours at the participating cultural sites across Al Ain. The Abu Dhabi-based trio of Ramin Hairizadeh, Rokni Hairizadeh, and Hassan Rahmaniyan, along with N Davies-Okundah and Esam Karbaj, presented specially commissioned artworks for Al Ain. These works were first unveiled to the public in November 2025 during Art Abu Dhabi and are currently on display until April 26, 2026. Concurrently with these exhibitions by established artists, the 2025 cohort of the 'Artists Perspectives' program is also showcasing their works in Al Ain during the same period. The commissioned Art Abu Dhabi artworks are on display at six different locations in the city: Al Ain Museum, Al Ain Oasis, Jahili Fort, Qattara Oasis, Hili Archaeological Park, and Jebel Hafit. While the Art Abu Dhabi event concluded last November at the Saadiyat Lighthouse, its annual program continues to offer a comprehensive year-round plan that includes commissions and exhibitions, with a special focus on educational initiatives and community engagement that extend beyond the fair's dates.
